Hey guys!
So I had a really incredible experience last night and I thought I would share it with all of you….
Ok, so a couple of my friends and I went to the Katy Prayer Room last night. The Prayer Room is exactly what it sounds like, it a room set up for people to come and pray. Sometimes they have people come in to lead worship (like last night). But mainly it's a place where people can just come and talk to God. Anyway, last night there was a group leading worship and for like the first hour and a half, they were playing songs and it was awesome! I really felt the Spirit stirring inside me.
Then one of the worship leaders was like, "Ok, stop."
And everyone was kind of taken aback.
We were like, "What is going on?" Randy (I later learned was his name), was like, "Normally I would never do this, but I feel like God is really putting it on my heart to pray for the young people here."
And he had my friends and I go up to the front of the room and had everyone gather around us and pray over us. Specifically he had them pray that we would come to know the Spirit of Boldness that God has placed inside each and everyone of us. Randy and another woman there both felt that God was putting that word on their hearts. "Bold". The woman came up and read Psalm 138:3 which says, "When I called you, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted." They continued to pray those words over us.
One of the other worship leaders told a story about the founding of the Katy Prayer Room….The Katy Prayer Room was started in 1998. A group of youth from the Katy Area began meeting weekly to worship. No preaching, just pure unceasing worship. They had no permanent location to hold these meetings, but after a while they continued to meet in the same location. They youth prayed that the place they were meeting would one day be holy ground. They had groups of 150-200 teenagers meeting every week to praise the Lord. Now, thanks to those youth, The Katy Prayer Room exists.
He told this story, because they believe, as do I, that our generation is going to change things. Not just in Katy, Texas. Not just in America, but throughout the nations. They were praying over us specifically, but I believe that this is a message for all young people, that are boldly seeking after Jesus!
The other verse that they were praying over us is Isaiah 62:6-7–
"I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the Lord,
give yourselves no rest,
and give Him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem
and makes her the praise of the earth."
I believe we are all marked watchmen. We have been chosen specifically by God, to lead this revival. We have been called to the nations, to share God's love and His word. This is huge! God called us! I cannot even rap my head around that.
Anyway, I thought I would share this with ya'll. Just know, that you are all marked watchmen! I hope ya'll are having a great summer so far, two weeks til it's even more incredible!
