Hey Team!
Its about that time to be thinking about "What Not To Wear" on our trip to Haiti.
So why is there a dress code?
#1 - RESPECT for God - The way we dress could hurt the testimony of Jesus Christ.
#2 - RESPECT for others - It's our responsibility as missionaries to respect the culture we are visiting and to not cause others to trip up or sin.
#3 - RESPECT for ourselves - Since God dwells within us and we were created in his unique image, its important that we protect that uniqueness.
Stacey and Clinton's Guidelines (if they were missionaries that is):
#1 - No tight, low or sleeveless clothing (modest tanks at training camp only).
#2 - Shorts, must always come down to the knee.
#3 - Girls: skirts and dresses must be past knees.
#4 - Boys: Jeans will not always be appropriate bring other pants (khakis, etc.)
#5 - Swimsuits must be modest. Girls must wear shorts with their one pieces. Two-piece suits are not allowed. Guys - trunks only.
#6 - Sleepwear can only be worn to sleep in.
#7 - Opened toed shoes are not always allowed, make sure to bring tennis shoes!
#8 - Clothing needs to be neat - no holes, rips, or obvious stains, except for "work-days".
#9 - Do not bring/wear valuable jewelry or watches that can get lost or stolen.
Thanks team, and if you have any questions about this post it here!
