Hey guys! Sorry this is so incredibly late, I was behind in the process and just got the blog stuff all squared away. Earlier this year i began looking into summer mission trips, as I felt like it was something God had been calling me to do for a long time, but never had the time. I looked at numerous programs, but one day I randomly went to the AIM website and found the Haiti trip which seemed to be a perfect fit for me!I felt like it was meant to be because everything played out just perfectly. I applied basically a whole month late, and next thing I knew I was being interviewed that same day because they were literally buying the tickets the haiti later that day..! Very last second. So, this being said, I am soooo excited to meet everyone and to see what God has in store for us in Haiti! I think he has big plans not only for us, but also for the people we will b serving.

More general information about me..So, my name is Kayley Watson, I'm 17, turning 18 in about a month(I think I may be the oldest one?) and I'm from Alamo, California(suburbs of San Francisco!). I have two siblings, one brother who is 23 and a sister who is 21. My brother just graduated from Pepperdine University and my sister is a junior there now. I myself just graduated from Campolindo High School in a town about fifteen minutes away from where I grew up. I grew up in Alamo and went to a private school 3-5 grade. After 5th grade, I decided I really wanted to raise a Guide Dog Puppy, so I convinced my mom to let me homeschool to train the puppy. The "puppy"(Now almost 6 years old) is now at home as my pet, which I am not upset about at all! We have one other dog, a goldendoodle( a cross between a poodle and golden retriever) and 2 cats. I have always been obsessed with animals all my life and felt a connection with them. I hope I can pursue a career in the animal field! Lets see, other than that, I have been a sports fanatic all my life. I started swimming when I was only 2, and have continued swimming year-round at a very high level up until the end of my high school career. Swimming really helped shaped me into the person I am today, as I made my best memories and friends from swimming. My senior year, I sort of jumped into another sport without really looking back. I joined a local crew(rowing) team, and am still currently rowing. I plan to row next year when I attend University of San Diego. Other than sports, I don't have much free time. With the extra time I do occasionally get, I tend to hang out with friends and family or sleep. Other random things I love: hanging at the beach, roller coasters, cooking, reading, boating, hiking, watching movies, and anything that can get a good laugh out of it. I am an easygoing person and tend to laugh at myself a lot. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself and let it go, you know? I care deeply and genuinely about everyone, and I am not one to be fake. I am very comfortable with myself, although I might be a bit shy and quiet at first. Once you know me, though, I am very outgoing and not afraid about what others think of me, and won't try to impress people.

This all being said, I am so excited for this trip and the time that we will spend together as a team. I believe that God brought each and every one of us here for a reason! We have fabulous things in the near future, as individuals, as well as a team! Can't wait to meet all of you!!!

Heres a picture of me after graduation, and before a rivalry swim meet at school:
